The Turkey man

11:00 am.

I found the Turkey man at K-town, after my breakfast. He is tall, taller than me around 6’3, a very athletic build, stands out from the crowd everyone around shorter and skinnier. I name him Turkey man because of his ‘oversized’ chest bone, and his posture.

I picked him up at 5th avenue and 32nd street as he exited out from one of the restaurants, he was carrying the bag of leftover food, or he could be packing it for someone else. I followed him into the Starbucks on 31st and 6th avenue, the place was too packed for me to notice what he ordered, but he looks like a guy who would drink Ice Black Coffee, which wasn’t what he ordered.

The Turkey man doesn’t look like a tourist, his English is fluent but not native, he is confident but a little self-conscious, he still looks around the city and sky from time to time.

After he exits Starbucks I kept following him to 30th street and 6th avenue, he held his phone while standing still on the sidewalk. He is probably getting a hold of an Uber. He isn’t a smoker; he would’ve started smoking if he was. I had a chance to observe him from across the street, he didn’t have a ring nor a watch he was wearing. He is dressed way too casually to be working from an office, he also looks too old for a student. He doesn’t seem stressed, he looks planned out, he is taking steps to finish whatever is planned for today.
